The apple, therefore, contains 158 mg potassium (0.72/100 X 22 g). Dried apple contains the same concentration of potassium on a dry matter basis (0.72%), but is only 32% water (68% dry matter). So 138 g of dried apple contains 93.8 g dry matter and 675 mg potassium (0.72/100 x 93.8 g).
Dry earth closets were invented by English clergyman Henry Moule, who dedicated his life to improving public sanitation after witnessing the cholera epidemics of 1849 and 1854. Impressed by the insalubrity of the houses, especially during the Great Stink in the summer of 1858, he invented what he called the 'dry earth system'.

To do this, Dry July partners with cancer services organisations across Australia and New Zealand. In order to become a Dry July beneficiary, cancer support organisations must submit an Expression of Interest. The cancer support organisation must meet the Dry July beneficiary guidelines in order to ensure the projects they wish to fund are patient-centric and focus on improving the wellbeing of adults living with cancer. Examples of eligible projects include entertainment systems, accommodation facilities, transportation to treatment, complementary therapy program costs, and improving waiting and treatment area facilities.
A "dry ice bomb" is a balloon-like device using dry ice in a sealed container such as a plastic bottle. Water is usually added to accelerate the sublimation of the dry ice. As the dry ice sublimes, pressure increases, causing the bottle to burst causing a loud noise that can be avoided by replacing the screw cap with a rubber stopper to make a water rocket with a two-liter bottle.
A dry fly is designed to land softly on the surface of the water without breaking it and becoming wetted. It need not be inherently buoyant. They are often oiled or treated with another water repellent. Dry flies are generally considered to be freshwater flies.
A dry fly may be of the imitation or attractor type. Imitations typically represent the adult form of an aquatic or terrestrial insect, such as the elk hair caddis, a caddisfly imitation. For the first time in 2014, the Dry July Foundation offered a grant program for cancer support organisations in Western Australia. Participants who signed up to take part in Dry July could choose to support the 'Dry July Foundation supporting WA', where the money raised would then be distributed via a grant program. In 2015, the Dry July Foundation expanded this grant program to the other states in Australia as well as in New Zealand for their New Zealand campaign.
Eligible organisations may request funding for projects via a Grant Funding Application. As per the Dry July campaign beneficiaries, projects funded via the Grant Application must be patient-centric and focus on improving the wellbeing of adults living with cancer.
