Ericsson Mobile Platforms - Platforms

The company took over the internal platforms that had been developed in Ericsson Mobile Communications under names such as Sandra, Jane etc., and developed a series of platforms tied to certain specific radio standards:

Growth platforms - Examples of growth platforms

Examples of tactical growth platforms include specific new sales force programs or a new emphasis for the advertising for the year.

Swarm robotic platforms - Comparison of platforms

Several mobile robot platforms have previously been developed to study swarm applications.

Jaguar Land Rover car platforms - Current platforms

, the following platforms are used by JLR in its current car ranges.

List of Ford platforms - Current Ford platforms

Virtually all Ford and Lincoln vehicles will use these platforms globally by 2016.

Signals intelligence operational platforms by nation - Ground platforms

The first signals intelligence platforms were listening stations on the ground. Early tactical stations were in use as early as World War I, but permanent strategic signals intelligence stations were established as world tensions grew before WWII.

Signals intelligence operational platforms by nation - Aircraft platforms

A wide range of aircraft were used with low-tech aircraft such as the WWII [B-24] with temporarily mounted electronics, to platforms extensively modified for the mission, and evolved to strategic RC-135 and EP-3E Aries II aircraft.

List of platforms supported by Qt - Official platforms

The following platforms are officially supported by Qt:

List of Volkswagen Group platforms - Joint-venture platforms

Platforms developed by Volkswagen Group as joint ventures with other manufacturers have designations which do not conform to the above scheme. These include:

List of mobile app distribution platforms - Third-party platforms

Third-party platforms are software distribution platforms which are used as alternatives for operating system native distribution platforms. Independent operating systems are software collections which use their own software distribution, customized user interface, SDK and API (except billing API which is related only to application store).

Signals intelligence operational platforms by nation - China: aircraft platforms

Prof. Desmont Ball identified Chinese the first major airborne SIGINT platforms as the four-turboprop EY-8, a variant of the Russian An-12 'Cub' as China's main ELINT and reconnaissance aircraft a decade ago. EY-8 construction may be continuing for ELINT/SIGINT and electronic warfare missions. This capability, however, is much inferior to the Japanese equivalents. They were supplemented or replaced four locally modified Tu-154Ms, comparable to the Russian 1980s vintage Il-20 ELINT aircraft.

Signals intelligence operational platforms by nation - France: satellite platforms

France and Britain had both been facing both the desirability and cost of intelligence satellites independent of the US. In the mid-1980s, with the development of the Ariane launcher and its associated large launch complex in French Guiana, the French liked the idea of such independence. Planning started on French IMINT satellites called Helios, a radar imaging satellite called Osiris and then Horus, and a SIGINT satellite to be called Zenon when operational. France would launch technology demonstrators before a fully operational SIGINT satellite. France began its intelligence satellite program with Helios IMINT satellites, although they also planned on Horus (first called Osiris) radar MASINT and Zenon ELINT platforms.

Signals intelligence operational platforms by nation - United States: aircraft platforms

Some platforms considered strategic, including the P-3 and RC-135 RIVET JOINT aircraft, may be assigned in support of large tactical units. There are both MASINT and SIGINT versions of the RC-135, the best-known SIGINT variant being the RC-135V/W RIVET JOINT.

Level Platforms - History

Level Platforms (LPI Level Platforms) was formed in 1999 as an international MSP serving SMBs. The company subsequently shifted its strategy to create the next generation of RMM software, releasing its initial Managed Workplace platform in May 2004.

Level Platforms - Products

Level Platforms also introduced white label Network Operations Center (NOC) and Help Desk Services, fully integrated in the Managed Workplace RMM platform, to allow MSPs to deliver 24x7x365 remediation and support offerings.

Level Platforms - Products

With the release of Managed Workplace 2012, Level Platforms introduced Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities that allow MSPs to monitor, configure and secure smartphones and tablets that run on operating systems from Apple, Google, Microsoft and RIM. MDM features, such as the ability to collect detailed asset information, remotely configure devices, track location and restrict user access if required, allow MSPs to address critical security and administration concerns for end-clients as sensitive corporate material is shared and accessed on mobile devices. In July 2012, Level Platforms introduced enhanced mobile device security capabilities, including the ability to automatically reset passwords, lock devices or wipe all information when a device is lost,. In December 2012, the company announced that it was the first RMM vendor delivering MDM features for iPhone 5 and iOS 6.

Level Platforms - History

On 12 June 2013, Level Platforms (LPI Level Platforms) was acquired by AVG Technologies. Level Platforms' founder Peter Sandiford left AVG in January 2014.

Growth platforms - Creating a new growth platform

Rediscovering the technology and the talent present in an organization a company or exploring its external networks, a business is able to find capabilities needed to create a new growth platform. Then a company should evaluate the potential capabilities which it needs to develop. Companies tend to undermine the number of possible growth platforms that could be created to increase customer needs. This is a consequence of senior managers not thinking more broadly and only thinking about a product or service that would beat the competition. After identifying suitable new areas of growth, a business needs to quantify and evaluate the opportunities to generate the lines of the business. In order to meet a new or uncovered customer need a new growth platform has to form as a result of a force of change which include new technologies, social pressures or changes in the legal system.

Platforms Piece

Platforms Piece consists of three bronze sculptures of commuters at Brixton railway station, completed by the British artist Kevin Atherton in 1986.

Growth platforms - Growth sustainability

New growth platforms help companies grow as they created families of products, services, and businesses and extend their capabilities into multiple new domains. The NGPs acted as a method of growth in which each business was acquiring new capabilities and further market knowledge. The size of the growth platform is strategic to the corporation. Small scaled businesses can only have a NGP when provided through a partnership or government funding, usually these exist in the agricultural sector and improve the knowledge and infrastructure ensuring better food security.
