The 1996 series represented various bands in eclectic genres (such as new wave) with relatively small followings, and the 1998 series included hard rock/progressive rock musicians and bands. These series are branded with the international title Master Series. The French title Master série is used to brand the more traditional line with a strong focus on European pop singers, which are frequently issued in multiple volumes. Each subsequent series also reissued some albums from the previous series.
Four Master Series series of albums were released: from 1987–1990, 1996–1998, 1998–1999, and from 2003 onwards.
While the series freely describes desirable flesh in an overtly sexual manner, Titian transforms the motifs of courtesans and carnal desire into the more highbrow realm of classical myth.
After the original in Naples, where Cupid is to her right, he is replaced by an elderly maid, holding out a cloth or dish to catch the gold coins spilling down from an explosion of colour in the sky which represents Zeus. This figure is retained in later versions (except for Chicago), though changing in pose, appearance and action. It allows "a series of sophisticated counterpoints: youth versus old age; beauty versus loyalty; a nude figure versus a dressed figure". Her undoubted unattractiveness, pronounced in some versions, draws attention by comparison to the beauty of Danaë. In at least some versions, she also matches the conventional appearance in art of a "procuress" (as art historians like to call them) or brothel-keeper. The left side of each canvas is an interior, although sometimes showing a distant landscape view.
Three distinct series or generations of Millennium pistols have been produced. The 1st series featured double-action only triggers and a 10-round magazine capacity. The 2nd series resulted from a complete redesign of the 1st, but retaining the double-action only trigger system. The 2nd series also introduced the 'Taurus Security System' (TSS), the Taurus version of an Integrated firearm locking safety system, as well as the enhancements Taurus categorizes as the Millennium ‘Pro’ package. The 3rd series added single/double-action triggers on several models in lieu of the double-action only of the first two series. Additionally, the grips of 3rd generation pistols are available in various different colors and the grip stippling is altered; tactical or Picatinny rail accessory mounts are also an option.
A generalization of the harmonic series is the p-series (or hyperharmonic series), defined as
Series One aired on Mondays and the second and final series aired on Thursdays.
Further, given a recursive formula for producing a series, the terms produced are either ascending or descending, and one calls the resulting series an ascending or descending series, respectively. For instance the derived series and lower central series are descending series, while the upper central series is an ascending series.
For a given finite series, there is no distinction between an "ascending series" or "descending series" beyond notation. For infinite series, there is a distinction: the ascending series :has a smallest term, a second smallest term, and so forth, but no largest proper term, no second largest term, and so forth, while conversely the descending series :has a largest term, but no smallest proper term.
If in addition each A i is normal in G, then the series is called a normal series, when this term is not used for the weaker sense, or an invariant series.
A subnormal series (also normal series, normal tower, subinvariant series, or just series) of a group G is a sequence of subgroups, each a normal subgroup of the next one. In a standard notation
Series can be notated in either ascending order: :or descending order: :
The series began filming in April 1957. Each episode was budgeted at $100,000. Filming took place on Stage 8 at the 20th Century-Fox studios near Western Avenue and Sunset Boulevard (where the show's production offices were located) and at CBS Studio Center, with at least one location in each episode. Burr had lost 100 pounds, but continued to lose weight when filming began: "I just don't have time to eat," he said.
Films in the series include:
Titles from the Millennium series are available for purchase on websites including: Big Fish Games, Amazon, Gamestop Impulse, Yahoo! Games, and Pogo. Big Fish Games localized the game for Germany and France.
The mystery series has been both a critical and commercial success. Zhong himself has "legions of fans around the world" according to Stephen Patrick Clare. It is a "personal favourite" of fellow crime fiction author Michael J. McCann. An exception is Donna Lypchuk, who condemned The Hua Shan Hospital Murders in her review for its attitude towards and depiction of "East Asian women" and Chinese people in general, asserting that it read "like a speedily written treatment for a movie" and that it was "riddled with stereotypes and clichés that make fun of Chinese people's mannerisms and the way they speak."
The film series stars Simon Yam, Maggie Shiu and Lam Suet.
Roar: The Game was introduced during series 1 and was renamed Roar - 2010 Edition during Series 5. From series 6 a new addition called 'feeding time' was introduced. Cheat codes were given out during the episodes to access content on the website.
Many series have been broadcast or are in process of being broadcast in local television stations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Each series usually consists of between 10 and 13 episodes as a television soap opera series. Some broadcasters, owing to the success of the initial series have announced new episodes in a renewed season. There was also a 50-episode radio version in Ethiopia
